Podere Torricino, Val di Chiana - Toscana

“Leopoldine” farmhouse of great historical value immersed in Val di Chiana. The “Leopoldine” farmhouses, result of design influenced by Enlightenment theories, maintain the elements of the old farmhouses of the Valdichiana, such as dovecote, and the typical characteristics of the historical Florentine buildings. They were designed with the best materials and by the best professionals who worked in Florence in the eighteenth century. The main feature of the “Leopoldine” buildings are the stables: they are not located in the ground floor of the master house, but in a detached annex connected to the farmhouse by a large covered passage. The master house is on two levels plus dovecote totaling approx. 600 sqm. It has an elegant shape, plastered, with balcony. On the ground floor wonderful cross-shaped vaults and barrel vaults while on the first floor old beams in pine wood. The annex is about 300 sqm plus canopy and connecting passage of about 65 square meters. A second annex of 35 sqm, completely independent, is instead a new construction. The entire property needs renovation and includes 1,5 ha (3,70 acres) of land. The property is perfect not only as private residence but also as tourist accomodation, hotel, beauty farm, B&B, restaurant, stable or equestrian club. It can be easily reached by gravel road.
