Fattoria Il Biologico spreads over 67 hectares/165.5 acres of land in the heart of Chianti Classico, at 420 m above sea level, on the border between the municipalities of Castelnuovo Berardenga and Gaiole in Chianti and boasts 100% organic cultivation of vines and olive trees. The 6.5 hectares/16 acres of vineyard surface are partly planted with Trebbiano and Malvasia vines and partly with Chianti Classico DOCG and IGT Toscana denomination planting rights, with a potential up to 50,000 bottles per year of the finest wines. More than 2,200 olive trees of four of the best varieties, produce up to 4,500 liters of fragrant, organically certified evo oil, depending on the year. The beating heart of the farm is a medieval stone hamlet dominated by a villa, the farmer's former manor house, on three story above a characteristic inner courtyard, and including six apartments of various types, from one to five bedrooms, all in rustic Tuscan style with exposed wooden beams, terracotta floors, fireplaces, and arches when in stone when in brick. Next to the villa four buildings are dedicated to agricultural activity and tourist hospitality. The first building includes the winery facility, fully equipped for winemaking and aging, along with a tasting room and offices. A second building is designed with multi-purpose halls, one more than 90 square meters (968 sq ft) large, and with also a gym and cabin rooms. A third building houses a restaurant dining hall and a professional fully fitted kitchen. A fourth building includes storage rooms, a woodshed, and staff canteen area with kitchen and facilities. Slightly detached from the hamlet, an old farmhouse on two floors has been restored with five one-bedroom guest units, all featuring living room with kitchen and fireplace, overlooking the belvedere terrace, the swimming pool and a breathtaking view as far as the most famous castles of Chianti Classico region. Surrounded by more than 51 hectares/126 acres of uncontaminated forest, access by a typical 800-meter long “strada bianca”, only 10 minutes’ drive from bars and stores, 20 km/12 miles north east from Siena.
