Large traditional Tuscan farmhouse with swimming pool, garden and vineyard for sale in Gambassi, Florence. As a noble country house, it is located on the ancient Via Francigena, travelled since 990 AD. by devotees on a pilgrimage from Rome to France and Spain. The farm, surrounded by greenery, still retains a mill and a tower from the 12th century. The main tourist attractions of Tuscany are within easy driving distance the farm produces quality organic wines and extra-virgin olive oil. Thanks to the clay soil, there is a production of well-known wines using Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah grapes, but also using local varieties such as Trebbiano Malvasia and san colombano. Using traditional techniques, the wines produced truly reflect the soil(terroir) in which they are grown.
